2 years ago now we launched Chefs Counter with the goal of creating a hospitality events company that gives back to communities.

Since that launch we have cooked for thousands of people at weddings, corporate, private and ticketed public events. We’ve cooked in theme parks, art galleries, church halls, stately homes, event spaces, a market hall, a cricket club, city centre office blocks and peoples homes.

We’ve raised thousands of pounds for grass roots charities and community groups, provided work placements to young people struggling in education and interested in careers in hospitality and we’ve provided supported employment to dozens of people overcoming barriers to entering the workplace (such as mental health, homelessness or other similar life circumstances).

This year we are expanding our private chef service which provides customers with the opportunity to have a chef create a personalised menu which is then cooked either in your home or a venue of choice.

Profits from this service will directly support the launch of the Chef’s Counter Acorn Trust Fund. This is a grant funding programme for local charities and community groups to run free/low cost social eating activities that we have developed in partnership with the grant funding experts at South Yorkshire Community Foundation.
