Steak Night in the peaks

This April we are heading out to the idyllic Derbyshire village of Baslow to put on the very first Chef’s Counter steak night.  With incredible 35 day aged T-bone steaks on the menu, accompanied with a selection of delicious sides and sauces, this 4 course banquet is going to be one to remember.

On the menu we have:

Canape – hendo’s braised brisket, pickled onion and cheddar tartlet

Starter – Sautéed king prawns in garlic and lemon butter, toasted ciabatta, tomato, rocket and roast pepper salad

Mains – 16oz T-bone steak (to be shared between 2), triple cooked chips, roast portabello mushrooms, onion rings, roast tomato, pepper corn sauce, béarnaise sauce and baby gem salad.

Dessert – Dark chocolate and salted caramel mousse with raspberry compote

Join us for the last chance to enjoy our delicious spring tasting menu as we return to Walkley Community Centre for Saturday Night Dinner 11. We’ve got an incredible spring menu including local spring lamb, English asparagus and wild garlic as well as an incredible chocolate mousse to finish. Bar profits go to supporting the running costs and work Walkley Community Centre does, whilst food ticket sales supports the work Chef’s Counter does creating supported employment for people who’ve overcome significant barriers to entering the jobs market (such as homelessness, long term physical and mental health conditions and substance misuse).

Our Saturday night dinner events combine a delicious 6 course tasting menu of either meat and fish or plant based dishes using the best locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. Saturday Night Dinner 10 is your second opportunity to enjoy our delicious spring tasting menu featuring incredible spring lamb, English asparagus and wild garlic on the menu. As well as delicious food, the brilliant people at Walkley Community Centre will be serving drinks throughout the night, raising money to support their running costs.

We’re back in Harley right on the boarder between Sheffield, Rotherham and Barnsley for our latest Friday night takeaway even. Here’s how it works. You have the option to either eat in at the Harley mission rooms or take the food away to enjoy later. Food is served on a first come, first served basis so once it’s gone, it’s gone!
